Day 91-18 miles today from Wicked Waystation Hostel to Bromley Mountain, 1661 in mm
Necessary withdrawal
Wicked Way station was exactly what I needed. I thought I was going to have to walk to Manchester and then find a trip to a shelter, but I found a Christine transport driver who asked me what my goal was. I told him that I just needed my clothes to clean, my body clean and to dry. Then she advised me to look at the Wicked Way station.
Darren picked me up yesterday afternoon later in the day at the beginning of the path. The Wicked Way station was a good distance from the forest, but it was located in a small super cute crossroads that had a general store and a white stereotypic church. I thought I was going to the general store and get some supplies, but yesterday I ran out of time, so I didn’t put a photo of how beautiful this small crossroad was.

This morning I woke up completely renewed. Yesterday I only had time to dry my things, wash my clothes and have a very necessary shower. The station shelter was well supplied with several foods that were a fundraising for Trail Magic they provide.
He had a large bowl of macaroni with cheese with pieces of ham and a couple of different cheeses. I was so full. He did not help assault the articles refrigerator left by other hikers and ate a hot dog and made a salad, so I was extremely full.
Through hikers, Whitesnake, Gator and Tashpanda were also there in the shelter.

Insects
Back on the road it looked like a rain again. He felt incredible not to tighten with wet shoes and socks for once after several days of being wet. And my clothes do not really stink, which is also pleasant. My goal is now, hopefully, to reach Rutland in 3 days.
Until now it has been a fairly informal day. The path has not been too aggressive. But what is aggressive are errors. They have already gotten into a couple of places even though I have not stopped moving.
It is a bit cloudy of temperature today, probably in the 80s. The sun has been rummaging periodically, which is good to see.

Path maintainers
The path is quite well maintained. There are some mud holes. For larger mud holes, trail maintainers have done an excellent redling job or, in some cases, they have put large rocks in the swamps.
I don’t know how these large rocks from other areas moved. But it is really great to stay away from the mud to be able to step on the rocks instead of the black mud.

In other points, they have redagered the path and have brought some soils that do not seem to be muddy again. They must have some place nearby, they can extract the sandy clay soil they brought to redirect sections of the path.

Picking up the rhythm
I was walking when two young noves hikers flew along with me. A little later I crossed a new catwalk and stopped to talk to them. It was Pitspop and Viper. They were dating after several nights in the forest. I realized for the size of his garbage bag.
Not long after the white snake and the gator appeared. I traveled with Whitesnake for a while in what became a fairly level rock Road. I know my rhythm was quite fast in that section.

Playing Frogger
From miles away, I was able to listen to Highway 11/30 in the distance. It sounded like an interest. When I approached the road, I began to worry because I expected to see a pedestrian bridge. But instead, I saw a sign that warned me not to become the road on the road. Very reassuring.

It was a four -lane road with cars exciting. I was also in a curve where cars could not see you until the last minute. I successfully avoided being Roadkill. On the other side of the road was a bottle of Gatorade sitting alone but sealed. Of course I opened it and drank it.

Water transport
I stopped in Bromley Creek to get some water. He had a dilemma because he still had 3 miles to climb to the top of the Bromley mountain. There is a shelter around 2/3 of the road. It has a water source, but for that water source you have to go down a refuge ravine. I didn’t want to have that additional increase. So I decided that I would have to drink water in Bromley Creek.
What got things worse is that after Bromley there is no water for approximately nine miles. So I would have to get enough water for the rest of today 7 miles in the morning. When I stopped in the stream, the mosquitoes attacked me immediately. I quickly bounced on the new bridge to the stream and began to fill water bottles. While doing my water treatment, I was doing a strange dance by moving all the parts of my body and moving around and around. I had to do this to prevent mosquitoes from attacking me even more.
So now I have a dozen mosquito bites and I have five and a half pounds of water on my back. I still have to climb 1,500 feet in the next two miles.

The cabin
2/10 From a mile of the summit, the path left the forest and began to follow a skiing race. He was covered with sweat, but a fresh breeze blew that felt really refreshing.

I finally got to Bromley’s top. I was going to spend the night inside the ski patrol cabin.

The cabin was pleasant when it comes to sleep arrangements. There were phenomenal views here. I could see a middle storm approaching from the west. It will be good to be inside when the storm arrives.
