Day 45: The Cookie Lady 2.0 and Upper Goose Pond

My alarm set just after 5, but we were awake before he shot. The store was covered with dirt and storm mud, and our things were a bit wet.

We knew that today it was going to be a complete marathon to walk, so we joined the fastest we could and put ourselves on the road.

Somehow we managed to make more than 3.5 miles in the first hour. This led us to the city of Dalton, Ma, and we stopped to have coffee and breakfast in Juice and Java.

Today it began to heat up, and the humidity was intense. We walked uphill to get out of the city, and things began to match.

Our next stop, after some miles in the green tunnel, was to be right next to Washington Mountain Road. The cookie lady was a must. This fantastic woman named Ruth directs a blueberry farm and also offers hikers. She greeted us immediately and handed us a couple of fastest homemade mason bottles in homemade hibiscus. We sat on the porch with her and talked about cookies. He took over this farm a while ago and loves to take care of hikers. It even has a plane hangar that works like a lithous room for hikers to stay.

Tomorrow is his birthday, and he always makes a thanksgiving dinner to share with hikers. As we were planning to stay in the Upper Goose Pond cabin, they told us to bring blueberries of the cookie lady so that the cabin caregivers could make blueberry pancakes. We did not have enough time to choose our blueberries since we still had eleven miles, so it picked us in the house, and we, of course, made a donation. Nick put these berries in his stove, and we were on the way.

Our last stage of the day was at home at night. We have heard a lot of talking about this cabin, so we press a little more to do it there.

The rest of the day was hot and lasted. We fix them to reach 6 pm, and with the side path of 0.5 miles to reach the cabin, we officially walk a marathon! Our feet were so tired, and all we wanted was a dip in the pond.

We met the caregivers and left our blueberries; They were very excited. We headed to the pond and clean the dry sweat and mud that we had accumulated during the last day.

Finally, we returned to the cabin to prepare dinner and talk to some of the other hikers. Some of them walked with our friend Katie/Bugs before she accelerated! One of the girls, squeezes, even gave Katie his path of path. What a little path can be sometimes.
