Bayern Munich strives for the return of Jamal Musiala towards the end of 2025 after breaking leg at Club World Cup

Jamal Musiala still uses crutches after breaking his leg at the club World Cup, but Bayern Munich hopes that he will be back by the end of the year.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder was stretched from pain after bumping into Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma while his team lost 2-0 this month to Paris Saint-Germain in the quarterfinals.

«Jamal still has crutches, but the process is very, very positive,» said Bayern Board member of Sport Max Eberl Thursday during an event to present new signature Luis Díaz.

Eberl added that the club expects Musiala to return around the same time as Wing-back Alphonso Davies. The Canadian player has been out since he suffered a serious knee with his national team in March, but Eberl said he had his «first exercises on the field» on Thursday.

«So far there have been no complications with both. We have to knock on wood that it stays that way and then we clearly hope that they will be available at the end of the year,» Eberl said.
