Paris Saint-Germain was fined after misconduct by his fans during the last victory of the club in the Champions League over Inter Milan in May, said the European football board body UEFA on Thursday.
The French champion, who hit Inter 5-0 in the Allianz Arena in Munich, was accused of a pitch Invasia by supporters, the deposits of fireworks, throwing objects, damage to property and the display of an inappropriate message.
Thousands of PSG fans flocked into the field after the whistle to celebrate the club’s first European Cup triumph, with a large number of supporters from behind the goal that flowed on the field, overwhelming stewards who had trouble keeping control.
In total, PSG received a fine of 148,000 euros (USD 169,208.40), with the largest fine for the pitch Invasion and the use of pyrotechnics.
UEFA’s control, ethics and disciplinary body have also issued a ban on PSG’s Way ticket sale for one UEFA match, suspended for two years.
