Our trip began on July 2 when we headed to Harts’s pass. Thanks to Trail Angels Ani & Tigger for the local tour and travel from Bellevue, WA!
We registered with the Terry rangers at Ranger Harts Pass station and then we started the 30 mile walk to the border between the United States/Canada. The path was impressive from Harts Pass -> Canadian border, since the possible this of a lifetime, this is our first time on the west coast and we are delighted to be here.
Rocky Pass: On our way to the border!
On July 3 we arrived at the Monument to the Terminus of the North at 6:00 pm and we walk 3.7 miles (officially heading south now), if we walk this mileage every day, we would not reach the border with the United States/Mexico until next June!
The section from the border to Stehikin was one of our favorite Washington parts and we are already making plans to return. Rocky and Woody Pass were one of my favorite areas. We saw many hummingbirds, marmotes, wild flowers and went out with many mosquitoes.

Stehikin Bakery: A must!
After the first 100 miles, our time in Washington seemed to go faster and faster. We swim in endless pristine background lakes, walk through pass after passing, walking through the old growth forests and walking around volcano after volcano. We stopped in the cities of Stehikin, Leavenworth, Snoqualmie Pass, White Pass and Trout Lake, and we thank us very much to those who helped us (correct time, volunteer of WAC, helped Matt obtain new path runners, Jo Ellen, etc.).

We are taking a couple of days in waterfall locks to rest before addressing Oregon! We have been loving the path and we are very grateful to share this experience with each other. We are realizing how quickly this trip will go, so it takes everything as possible. We are grateful for all the love and support of family, friends and people we know along the way! I look forward to Oregon and hope to meet some friends.

I didn’t see any goats, so I guess we’ll have to come back!
