Day 1
Arena point to Pincher Creek
Maps, his lovely wife, the head of the path, and his lovely mother collected the sale of garage and I at 8 am. After a passport check and some farewells, we went to the road and began the hiker jokes. A bag of fries and dozens of stories later, we stopped in Coleman to score our official GDT bag labels in the local cafeteria.
We found our hotel in Pincher Creek and the ominal clouds threw rain and hail. We had a lovely and full dinner in a fusion restaurant that left me sleepy. It was an early night with a scheduled game for 6 AM for Waterton.
Drive to Waterton
Leaving quickly at 6 in the morning, we were treated with a world -class dawn and a double rainbow that disappeared in the clouds of the storm over the magnificent mountains of Waterton. We stopped at the Waterton hotel to take some photos of lumps of the lake before the sun hid during the remaining morning.

At the beginning of the path we take an initial selfie and load along the path on the cool and humid morning. The fingertips knew very well and the car washed their legs and shoes. We met a family of Naves that happened casually with us.

I was euphoric to get to the monument that I have seen in so many photos. The weather was cloudy, but the spirits were tall. It is tradition to jump from the dock to the water. Cold temperatures and water made this a reluctant choice. Hugging the opportunity once in a lifetime, I undressed and jumped. Screams driven by cold water resonated in the lake while the map took photos and we all laughed! The sale of garage was the next one with a perfect chaquero and a trail chief with a vertical entrance.

The dry clothes again, I added the rain jacket to protect the shower that marked our exit from the border. The return walk was calm as we warmed slowly when we met hikers with dogs.
We write down some huge burritos and berries in Taco Place before buying the city and visiting the visitors center. Back in the motel He took a very necessary nap before dinner. Soo sushi had salty pork frits to fill the stores. A stop at DQ and Walmart rounded the night.
For a good cause
This walk is a bit different from the others. We are walking to support Ethanmurrayfund.org, a 501C3 organization that helps provide resources for those looking for help with mental health problems. The organization helps to match candidates with directors and therapists in our community. The «EMF» also offers scholarships to students seeking to follow education in the field of mental health. You can get more information on ethhanmurrayfund.org
We retired tomorrow for the first full day of adventure at the GDT!
