Former AC Milan and Italy Defender Franco Baresi recovers well after undergoing an operation to remove a lung nod, the Serie A Club confirmed on Sunday.
The honorary president and former Captain for Milan underwent a routine medical check, which unveiled the issue and undergo oncological recovery therapy with immunotherapy.

«Dear fans, I just want to let you know that it will take me a little time to get back at full power,» Baresi said in a statement.
The 65-year-old Baresi is considered an icon in San Siro, after having spent his entire 20-year career at the club and could have accepted the team for 15 seasons before retired in 1997.
He was part of the Italy team that won the World Cup 1982 and captain the team until the 1994 final, which ended in a narrow penalty shootout loss for Brazil.
