Jamshedpur FC appoints Steven Dias as head coach on Interim -Basis


Jamshedpur Football Club confirmed on Wednesday that Steven Dias will take over the head coach of the first team after the departure of Khalid Jamil, who has been appointed India head coach.

Steven serves as an assistant coach of the Red Miners and has worked closely with the first team.

«After the remarkable performance of coach Khalid, I am dedicated to do my best and make it successful for the club. It is a huge responsibility, and we have to stay focused and work hard to take on the upcoming challenges,» Steven said after the appointment.

Jamshedpur FC is at an important moment in the Durand Cup 2025, on the way to the knock -out phase after a flawless group phase in which the team won all three games.

Before he came to Jamshedpur, Steven was the head coach of Ambernath United, where he led the team to the last round of the I-League Second Division, and missed the title closely after just a draw against Delhi FC.

Under his custody, the club lifted back-to-back unbeaten Mumbai Fa Elite Division titles in 2022 and 2023, as well as successive Mumbai Women’s League titles.

Steven also managed the Maharashtra Santosh Trophy team, which led to the last round of the 2022-23 season while he recorded the most goals that were scored in the tournament.
