On Friday, RB Leipzig announced the signing of the Brazilian striker Romulo from Turkish side Goztepe to replace Benjamin Sesko, who left for Manchester United.
Romulo, 23, has signed until 2030 for a reported reimbursement of 25 million euros ($ 29.2 million) including bonuses.
Leipzig needed an attacker after Sesko’s large move to United, who reportedly cost 85 million euros.
Romulo scored 13 times and was on nine assists in 29 league games last campaign.
Leipzig finished seventh last season, missed for the first time in the Bundesliga-Top flight for European football and has been rebuilt in the first off-season of Jurgen Klopp as the worldwide football head of Red Bull.
The club has signed several promising young people prior to the kick -off of Bundesliga next weekend, including winger Johan Bakayoko and midfielder Arthur Vermeren.
It also has a new manager, Ole Werner.
