Newly promoted Leeds United has announced the signing of the former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer.

The Centrum-Forward joins the winners of the championship after nine years in Goodison Park. He scored 73 goals for the Toffees, including 21 goals in the 2020-21 season, his most productive season.

His shape on MerseSide also saw him called the national side. He scored four goals from his eleven performances for England and was a member of the English team that reached the final of the European Championship 2021.

Calvert-Lewin is the eighth signing of Leeds of the Summer, because it seems to break the recent trend of promoted parties that are immediately relegated.

He could make his Leeds debut against his former club when the two parties meet on Monday evening.
