Liverpool announced the signing of defender Giovanni Leoni from Parma on Friday. However, the move is still subject to international approval and a successful application for work permit.
The club has not announced the transfer costs and details of Leoni’s contract.
The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough year in the top flight of Italy during the 2024-25 season, in which he made 17 performances.
«I am very happy to be here. It is really a great sensation and I am honored to be here,» he said.
Leoni is the newest addition to the team of manager Arne Slot, where the club Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez has signed and accepts its total expenditure up to more than £ 300 million.
