Lionel Messi would not be denied long.
The Argentinian superstar had missed many scoring opportunities in his return of an injury on Saturday evening against De La Galaxy, but in the decreasing minutes of the game, Messi scored the go-Ahead goal and then helped another to help Inter Miami to a 3-1 victory.
Messi did not start the game, instead he came at the beginning of the second half after he was set aside for two games with a judge hamstring injury. He sustained the injury on 2 August in Inter Miami’s Leagues Cup match against Necaxa.
Messi slid by defenders with his trademark dripping before he buried a left shot from a distance that the score made at 2-1 in the 84th minute. He then founded Luis Suárez with a rear aid to give Miami a pillow of two goals.
It was the 19th goal of the season for Messi, which leads MLS, and a necessary victory for Inter Miami, who went to fourth place after slipping to the sixth in the east after a 4-1 routine in Orlando last week.

Miami coach Javier Mascherano said that the team will check in with Messi on Sunday to see how he felt after the game, with regard to the hamstring injury and fatigue. There were times during the game that Messi seemed to extend his right leg.
«The most important thing is that he was ready (the game),» Mascherano said through an interpreter, adding that he thought Messi seemed to be more comfortable as the game progressed.
Jordi Alba set up Miami on Saturday with 1-0 in the first half and ended a well-placed by the ball of Sergio Busquets.
Joseph Paintsil tied it in the 59th for the Galaxy, who are the defensive MLS Cup champions, but are currently in the classification of the Western Conference.
