The 1-0 victory of Arsenal on Manchester United on Sunday was far from a masterful version against the better side, but manager Mikel Arteta was delighted to escape from Old Trafford with all three points in the Premier League seasers opener.
Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori benefited from a weak challenge from Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayindir to go home an early corner and then the London side survived an attack by United attacks while it was buried to win the victory.
«A big, great result will come across in the first game of the season (United) at Old Trafford,» said Arteta After having confronted one side with new signing sessions Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

“And the team must find that resilience during the season for 10 months in different contexts to be able to do that.
«Of course we have to improve many things and that will happen very quickly. But with regard to managing that in a very positive result, that is a great way to do it.»
Arsenal’s most important signing of the Close season, Sweden Spits Viktor Gyokeres, did not stand out in his Premier League debut and was replaced early in the second half.
«But in general, gone to Manchester United and won your first game with Arsenal, it is a good start,» said Arteta.
