Nottingham Forest signed the French striker Arnaud Kalimuendo of Ligue 1 Side Stade Rennais for a five -year deal, said the Premier League Club on Monday.
Financial details of the transfer were not revealed, but British media reported that Forest paid around 26 million pounds ($ 35.19 million) for the 23-year-old.
Kalimuendo came through the Academy of Paris Saint-Germain and had two loan spells at RC-Lens before he came to Rennes in 2022 and scored 40 goals from 112 performances in all competitions. At Lens he scored 21 goals in 65 performances.
Kalimuendo was impressive in 2024-25, with 18 goals and four assists in 34 games for Rennes. He was part of the France team that won silver at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.
«This is a proud moment for me, with a team that had a strong season last year and a club with great history,» said Kalimuendo.
«I am ready for the challenge and I am coming here with good experience. I had a good season with goals and assists last year, but I want more and want to reach a new level here.»

Forest has spent around 147 million pounds on seven signing sessions in the transfer window, including three in the past three days.
Kalimuendo joins midfielder James McATEE from Manchester City for 30 million pounds and winger Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town for 37.5 million in the city.
Forest, which finished fifth last season, started the new campaign with a 3-1 home victory on Brentford on Sunday. The Midlands Club also plays in the Europa League, which will be the first European campaign since 1996.
