Barcelona completes the late comeback victory against Levante in La Liga

Barcelona fought back from two goals in the newly promoted Levante to win 3-2 on Sunday (IST) in the Ciutat de València.

The first half goals of Ivan Romero and Jose Luis Morales gave Levante a shock against the champion in Valencia, before Pedri and Ferran Torres quickly struck twice in a row to level the game.

The side of Hansi Flick looked destined for a draw on a near-water-blogged pitch until a Unai ElMerkal Eigen-Doel in injury time gave them a second victory to start the new season.

Barcelona vs Levante Highlights

Levante took place for 15 minutes when the ball was beaten over the Barcelona box to Romero, who bammed Pau Cubarsi with an excellent shoulder vesicles before pointing Joan Garcia past the new signature.

Torres certainly seemed to leveled in the 37th minute when Pedri’s agile first pass found the attacker unark in the box, but his fierce strike rattled the bar instead of the net.

After Lamine Yamal lost the ball on the edge of the Levante box, the hosts broke and when Roger Brugue prepared to shoot Alejandro Balde, it appeared from nothing to save his side with an excellent part of the last ditch.

However, when Balde Balde came on his feet, another shot was fired at him whose referee decided to get the arm of the 21-year-old in an unnatural position after a VAR intervention.

Morales, 38, doubled Levante’s lead properly from 12 meters seven minutes in the first half added time.

Stung by the decision, Barcelona came roaring in the second half.

Midfield Metronome Pedri took matters in his own hand four minutes after the interval, while he was wearing a 25-year ride to the top corner to awaken the comeback.

Flick’s side was back three minutes later when Torres made up for his earlier Miss with a close-range finish from a corner.

Brugue had a gilded opportunity in the box at 54 minutes to restore Levante’s lead, but could not get enough on the ball to convert.

Raphinha forced a great vast save from Pablo Campos to 83 minutes after his shot from the left side of the box of Testwork was diverted by a defender.

But Levante’s happiness could not hold when Yamal drove in a cross from the right in the 91st minute that ElMerkall looked into his own net under pressure from Torres.
