Fazila Ikwaput scored the winner in the 70th minute when East Bengal Phnom Penh Crown defeated 1-0 in their AFC Women’s Champions League match in Cambodia on Monday.
The result pushed the Moshal Girls At the top of their group in the tournament.
Ikwaput, who was reunited with head coach Anthony Andrews of Gokulam Kerala (GKFC) this summer, thought Resty Nanziri’s Pass in the box and made no mistake to beat the goalkeeper.
The Ugandan attacker, a dual Golden Boot winner in the Indian Women’s League, had replaced Sabitra Bhandari in Andrews’ GKFCF, which helped the side finish of second place in successive editions of the competition.
In the summer of 2025 she joined Eastern Bengal, which further strengthens the arsenal of the IWL champion.
