The status of Lionel Messi for the semi-final of Inter Miami against Orlando City will be a decision of the game after the Argentinian star has been trained with his teammates, the Major League football side announced Tuesday.
Inter Miami Assistant coach Javier Morales said that the herons will check both Messi and Jordi Alba before they decide whether they will be available for Wednesday’s home setup against Orlando City.
«Jordi and Leo have trained with us, they have completed the training. We will see how they feel as the day progresses, and tomorrow we will make a decision,» said Morales.
Morales called Messi his training training ‘super positive’ and added: «I imagine that he will at least be in the team.»
The Miami-Orlando winner will be confronted with the winner of the other semi-final on Wednesday between the reigning MLS champion Los Angeles Galaxy and Seattle Sounders in the Sunday of the event of the event, including MLS and Mexican League Clubs.
Messi, 38, Miami led to the 2023 Leagues Cup Crown in his early days in Zuid -Florida.

«Whether Messi plays or not, I have the feeling that we have the same mentality – just to go outside and to be the best and try to win,» said Orlando Alex Freeman.
A guaranteed absentee for the Orlando-Miami-showdown is Interhoofdcoach Javier Mascherano, who received a red card in the Tigres competition.
Orlando won both games against Miami this season with a combind of 7-1 margin, including a 4-1 routine earlier this month.
«We know that there is a different institution prior to this competition. But we have the same energy, the same power, the same wish that has always characterized us in earlier derby’s,» said Orlando coach Oscar Pareja.
Morales said, «It is probably the most important Clasico we are going to play so far.»
