In the Hall of King of the Mountain

Breakfast … My worst enemy. I hate him. In the morning, I am already dizzy of being barely awake, combined with my happiness general of the food at this time, and I fought with the oatmeal that I was trying to drown. Good coffee helps. And fortunately, Homespun had left some for me. Amazing.

Put my name on the wall. Interestingly, it is right next to some of the people I have met, and the minor celebrities of Trek

But finally I forced myself to drown an oatmeal with protein, and then Doogie took me back to the path, loaded with an extra sandwich and some hamburger meat yesterday. We meet Jonny Shofar, who since the last time has UM. Did you collect some enemies? I really don’t know all the details, but all I know is that he is threatened to spray a hiker and now he has a sign that says «the worst through the hiker: Saxxon.» So, I feel a little less safe with this path of trails.

The morning was misty and felt that he threatened to rain … but there was none in the lonoraad. There has been none in a long time. Armed with a pair of newly patched pants, I began to snort and swell my path through CaldPate, taking a fast blue glow to visit Rock Table, a small and beautiful sight a little bald that is a easier alternative for people. It was a total of extra hiking miles … but it is worth seeing where I have been.

After that, I went back to himself, and began to climb and up Baldpate! On the way, I met a large group of children, and they set aside to leave me up, but after reaching the lunch summit, they reached me. One of his group’s directors, Dobby, had actually walked the PCT and CDT with his brother! So, we talked a bit about the future. I wanted to face the AT one day, but I was curious about AT’s physical aspects … and yes. It’s hard man …

I ask children and counselors, grabbing tons of blueberries along the way. Crossing the East Peak, I was a little tired and I loved being in the naked rock, so I decided to take a moment and simply … to lie down and try to take a nap. I have heard that tons of people love to make a nap. The problem is that, although I always have a lot of sleep, I can never give myself … to fall asleep. Even within the shelters during the day. At least I could rest a little, stretch and wait to address what follows.

That, from Farout, it seemed quite simple. An steep descent, followed by what seemed to be a gentle terrain. It can’t be so bad, right? I curse my knees and quads while struggling with the descent, and in a short break in the fryo notch they leaned down. We are definitely at the point now when it doesn’t matter what you do, everything is tight. Below is the enemy that causes pain, and above is the enemy that causes sweat. There is no win.

Fortunately, there was still a little semi-tricking water, so I took a time to fill, replenish and then return. Really strange the days of Virginia’s paths. I know that part of what the MATC wants to do with its path of paths is to maintain the «wild» feeling of nature. However, something to remember is … there are reasons why the paths are built in the way they are now in the west. Sacrifice part of the terrain, but make it more attractive, and the road will not be filled with paths of desire that destroyed wildlife. On the other hand, there is a reason why I am not a trail designer.

I made the slow descent to Dunn’s waterfalls, hoping to be received by good transparent water for the first time all day. For now, the monotony of the path is affecting me a lot. Oh good. I have to keep walking. I still love, but I would like to have a hiking partner. However, no one at the Knoll was at my pace … so whatever. Unfortunately for my water hopes, road work has been happening on a nearby road … and has caused a lot of slime. So the water here was everything … Brown? There were some weekends illegally camping on the banks of the waterfalls, but with the silty water around, it is not as if it were a great place today.

I thought the end of the day would flatten, and it was a bit dependent on that to put some speed. Unfortunately, when I hit him … it was one of the most covered sections of Trail so far. And I hit him at night, so I spent more time trying to find the path than to make a forward progress. Even when I got to the «water source» for the shelter, it was a dry current, and I had to find out if that was the path or the way to the shelter. So I arrived at the camp around 9 pm more or less. It is not too late, but late enough to need a lighthouse.

When I entered, I saw that there was only another tent in the shelter of Hall Mountain, with the lights on rooting trekking posts. They probably thought it was a large animal. So, to let them know that I was safe, I simply let a great oath escape like a sigh. Puaj. I hoped to have a break with the end there. But I could feel the cost of avoiding roots, branches and rocks throughout my body. Another painful night …
