The latest hamstring injury from Arsenal Bukayo Saka will keep him «a few weeks», said Mikel Arteta manager Friday prior to the Premier League match in Liverpool.
Sunday’s game in Anfield is an early collision of title candidates, but the Gunners are confronted with the defending champion saddled with injuries to important players, including Captain Martin Odegaard.
The midfielder hurt his shoulder during the 5-0 victory of Arsenal over Leeds last weekend.
«He has not trained yet, and if he does, it will be tomorrow,» said Arteta. «He does everything he can do, we do everything we can to make him available, but we will have to wait tomorrow. … If all goes well, he can deal with it.»

This week Odegaard was called by Norway for upcoming competitions.
Saka, who also left the Leeds match, missed more than three months last season due to a hamstring tear that required surgery.
«No operation (this time), it’s not as bad as the previous one,» Arteta said, adding that it is not the same leg. «He will be out for a few weeks.»
Arsenal finished second in Liverpool last season.

Kai Havertz was undergoing a knee operation on Thursday after being injured in the season opening match in Manchester United.
«I think it will be weeks, but I don’t know how many months,» said Arteta about a timeline for the attacker’s return. «He did very well to recover from the previous one. … We lost another big player for many, many weeks, but (operation) was the right thing to do.»
Havertz missed for a few months last season with a hamstring injury.
The German international gave his own update on his social media accounts on Friday: «Small setback, thanks to the medical team for all care and attention. Soon back.»
Arsenal signed Ebereechi Eze from Crystal Palace after the last injury of Havertz.
