The summer -long transfersaga with Alexander Isak came to a conclusion on Monday when he finally got his wish for a move to Liverpool from Newcastle United, because the English champion corresponded to a British record compensation to sign the attacker for a long -term agreement.
Isak’s stand-off with Newcastle dominated the start of the season, but the impasse was broken with Liverpool who paid a reported 125 million pounds for the 25-year-old Swede.
The reimbursement overshadows Chelsea’s Up-front 107 million pounds paid for Enzo Fernandez and the 100 million plus 15 million add-ons splashed for fellow midfielder Moises Caicedo.

«It is something I am proud of and I am really looking forward to it. I am happy that it is ready and that I can get back to work,» he added.
Isak arrived in Newcastle from Real Sociedad three years ago and turned out to be a huge hit with his goals, twice to help the Northeast Club qualify for the Champions League and to end a 70-year-old domestic trophy-dried in the last season’s League Cup final.

His cult status on Tyneside, however, quickly deteriorated, because the Swede made it clear that he wanted to leave and was effectively frozen, did not play a role in the Newcastle opening matches of this season and not even training with the first team.
Newcastle confirmed his departure on Monday in a short statement of 37 words.
The conquest of ISAK takes the expenditure of Liverpool in the close season above 450 million pounds after it had signed the club’s transfer record for the second time, after it had signed the Florian Wirtz of Germany in a deal that could eventually rise to 116 million pounds.
