Another summer transfer window is closed and, as expected, the largest clubs in Europe are bursting hard to strengthen their squadrons for the coming season.
Again, the Premier League dominated the expenditure graphs and surpasses Europe’s other top competitions – La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 – with a considerable margin.
The summer window of 2025 has officially become the most expensive in football history and surpasses the previous record of € 8.85 billion in 2023-24.
