Alexis Sanchez moves to Seville: Chilean forward leaves Udinese

Former Arsenal and Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez became a member of Sevilla van Udinese, the Spanish club announced on Monday.

The move was confirmed only a few hours after Udinese revealed that the 36-year-old Chileen had left the Serie A Club due to mutual permission.

After a career spent in «a large part of the most important clubs in the football panorama», Sanchez «will bring his experience and target score» to Seville, said the La Liga side.

Sanchez, who also represented Manchester United, Inter Milan and Marseille, had returned to Udinese last year.

«The paths of Udinese and Alexis Sanchez separate here. The club and the legend of White and Blacks have reached an agreement to end his contract,» Udinese said in a statement.

«Alexis will always remain our ‘great boy’,» the club added, in reference to his nickname.

Sanchez came to Udinese for the first time as a teenager from South America. He won La Liga with Barcelona in 2013, Serie A with Inter Milan in 2021 and 2024, and the FA Cup with Arsenal in 2015 and 2017.

The highlight of his career continues to lead to Chile to successive Copa America triumphs in 2015 and 2016, both against Argentina by Lionel Messi.

During his career, Sanchez scored 220 goals in 796 club performances.
