Today I took a wrong turn, which cost me approximately 1.5 miles. The PCT had been following a dirt road a bit when there was a sign for the paths of the Los Lagos region. I am quite used to seeing signs in which the PCT logo is wearing up, but the other parts (such as «no motor vehicles») are still there. Another is that when the PCT crosses a more locally administered area, signs often only list local destinations, without any mention of the PCT.
So, not seeing «PCT» did not give any alarm. I left the dirt road and got on the path without motor vehicles. It was not until the next intersection of 3/4 miles downhill (400 feet) that I realized my mistake.
After verifying if there were shortcuts, there was no, I realized that it was more careful.
When I returned to the path, I could see that someone had written «PCT» with an arrow in the corner of the sign of the large lakes region. And a small way in that direction was a tree with a PCT sign.
I met Star and Daniel in A-Tree Spring. Both are interested in music. Star likes to write/sing and wants to make music a profession. Daniel likes to mix/produce. It was good to have the guitar.
I reached 20 miles at 15:45.
The site of my store was immediately next to the path. And there were also other tent sites there. But there were no other tents.
