Morocco will be the first African team to qualify for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Morocco pulled on Friday 10-man Niger 5-0 in Rabat to win group E and became the first African qualifications for the World Cup 2026.

Ismaeil Saibari scored twice in the first half after Abdul-Latif Goumey was broadcast and the second half of Ayoub El Kaabi, Hamza Igamane and Azzedine Ounahi completed the route.

Morocco became the 17th team that reached the 48 team World Cup that would be held in the US, Mexico and Canada.

Morocco was a surprising semi -finalist in the 2022 edition where it lost to France.
