Dis assigned King Strike voted Fulham’s goal of the month

The 18-year-old midfielder of Fulham, Josh King, was perhaps his first Premier League goal refused by a controversial VAR decision last month, but his strike against Chelsea was voted the goal of the club of the month before August, said the London side Wednesday dsfrvc.

King ran from his own half to lock a long pass by Sander Berge and entered the Chelsea area, and became defender Tosin Adarabioyo before he released a powerful low strike in the bottom corner.

«The fact that he collected 83.1 percent of the votes shows how special a moment had been or would have been,» said Fulham.

The celebrations of Fulham were short-lived when a VAR check ruled that Rodrigo Muniz on Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah’s foot stepped in the run-up to the goal. The game was then 0-0, but Chelsea then won 2-0.

Howard Webb, Chief Referees Body (PGMOL), said that the decision not to allow the goal was wrong and that the video assistant referee (VAR) made a mistake by intervening.

King has been in Fulham since he came to their academy as an eight-year-old and made his Premier League debut in December last year. He started all three Fulham League matches this season.
