Both teams have slowly started the season, with United one loss, a draw and a victory in its three games, while City has achieved one victory and two losses.
United is currently ninth in the rankings, while City is 13th.

The game marked city legend Kevin De Bruyne’s last Manchester Derby ever, but in general the game was overwhelming because both parties could not find a breakthrough.

In the 189th Manchester Derby, Marcus Rashford yielded the winner against City to help United in the top four in that phase of the season.
Replacement Jack Grealisk opened the score in the 60th minute, only three minutes after he came up, when he went the cross of Kevin De Bruyne.
United immediately brought the score against the Run of Play when Fernandes struck in the 78th minute. The goal was initially excluded by the referee’s assistant because Rashford was in an offside position. However, that decision was canceled by VAR after it was confirmed that the United Forward had not touched the ball before Fernandes struck.
Rashford then hit the winner up close, only four minutes later when he converted the cross of replacement Alejandro Garnacho.
