Eastern Bengal officially became the 2024-25 Calcutta Football League (CFL) champion (CFL) proclaimed by the Standing CFL committee on Saturday, because the Rode and Gold put an end of a seven years of waiting to reclaim the prestigious Kroon of Kolkata Football.
“We are happy to announce that the PERMIL CFL committee (Premier & First Division) of the association, in its meeting on 8.09.2025 at 13:00, has decided to emami East Bengal FC, champion of the Premier Division of the Premier Division of De Premier Division of De Premier Division Football League, 2024-25, «said the IFA in a letter to the director of Oost-Bengal.
Under the leadership of Bino George, East Bengal remained unbeaten in the campaign of the Calcutta Football League 24-25, and collected 47 points, scored 39 goals and admitted 11.
It is the 40th CFL title of East Bengal, since the red and gold remain the most dominant team in the history of the competition.
