Lionel Messi was again the star of the show when Inter Miami DC United beat 3-2 during their Major League Soccer match at the Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Sunday.
The 38-year-old took two goals and an assist when Miami climbed to the fifth in the rankings of the Eastern Conference with 52 points, eight behind leader Philadelphia Unio, N who played three more games.
After a slow and sloppy start, Miami took the lead at 10 minutes from the rest after Messi played a wonderful ball over the top to Allende, who finished it in the bottom corner.
Messi’s first of the night came up close after Jordi Alba’s pass broke through the defense, while the second was a classic curling effort of the edge of the area.
