Replacement Haris Tabakovic jerked Borussia Moenchengladbach’s first goal of the season with a stop-time equalizer who yielded a 1-1 draw at Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
Tabakovic entered the stop time to cancel Malik Tillman’s 70th minute goal for the host.
Gladbach, who fired coach Gerardo Seoane on Monday after the worst start in 34 years after three league matches without scoring a goal, had interim coach Eugen Polanski in the Dugout.
It placed the ball in the net in the first half, but the sensational shot of Jens Castrop was excluded for an offside.
Instead, it was Leverkusen who scored in the 70th minute when Tillman tapped from 10 meters. With the time that was used up, Tabakovic rose to connect to the corner of the replacement Charles Herrmann for the equalizer who left Leverkusen in 12th place on five points.
Gladbach, which is without a competition gain in his last 11 games, including last season, is 17th on two points. Champion Bayern Munich is at the top of the table with a maximum of 12 points after the 4-1 win over Hoffenheim on Saturday.
