Como To donate the Italian cup strop, continues by relieving flood damage, says Manager Fabregas

Como will donate all proceeds from the Coppa Italia match on Wednesday versus Sassuolo to support the local community after the city has suffered flood damage after pouring rains into North Isalalia at night, said Cesc Fabegas manager Monday.

The center of Como was hit hard after the Como flooded more intensive rainfall, with water flows through the streets of the city, partially immersed cars and damage to houses and companies.

«The club will donate all proceeds from the Italian cup match against Sassuolo … to support the local community in this difficult time,» said Fabregas in a Instagram Post referring to the second round draw between the two Serie A-teams.

«My thoughts are in Como today. Seeing our beautiful flood of the lake and the damage it has brought is heartbreaking,» he added.

«Como is more than just a city for me, it’s at home, it’s family, it’s community. For all people, families and affected companies, please know that you are not alone,» said Fabregas.

The former midfielder of Spain ended his gaming career at Como in 2023, with the club that participated in series B, and started his management career there, giving it promotion as an assistant coach and last season took over as a manager.
