85-87 days: Visiting Dad and the Shenondoah National Park

We do not install the rainfly last night because it was quite hot and stagnant. I could check the weather and I saw a rain opportunity that started around 6 am this would give us an incentive to get up before to avoid rain and leave the camp early.

It began to rain a little, but enough time stopped so that we could start with this decrease in 5.5 miles to a parking lot near Front Royal.

My dad arrived shortly after we got there. Will and Sam sought to go to Walmart, so they accumulated with us and we all headed there. We separate from the ways of completing some refueling.

We made the trip from time to home, and Nick and I showered, we did some tasks and rested a little.

We had fillets, thromboncini pumpkin with apples, grilled Bruschetta, sea strain and a magnificent salad. Most of these ingredients came from my father’s garden!

We sat on the porch and saw the sunset, and reached a little until it was time to go to bed.

The next day, I slept much more than in the weeks. We went to my dad to have coffee and breakfast. I needed a quiet time, so I stayed alone to recharge.

Finally we went to the store to finish our refueling, mainly grabbing sweets and fries.

We had sausages and remains of the previous night, followed by a quick route of the updated farm.

They have Guinea chickens to help control the tick population, and are quite fun with their habits. We found a nest of a melancholic chicken that needed to be cleaned, and there were 48 eggs in which this girl was sitting!

85-87 days: Visiting Dad and the Shenondoah National Park

We saw another sunset and our night was complete.

The next day, we went back to the path. We got a sandwiches breakfast, cold beer and an unchanging nutella.

They left us in the same parking lot where they picked us up.

After a few miles, we finally entered the Shenondoah National Park. This would be the next hundred miles more or less for us.

We stay on the path for a while and enter inside and outside because the road, Skyline Drive, is where all the views are. I think the old Atlex used to be on the road, so they call this retro arch.

Finally, we reach our first road, a store with food and memories. We arrived here around 4:45 pm. Nick got a hamburger, and obtained two meals for chicken children (they don’t have an adult size). We did not get Blackberry milkshakes, but tomorrow we will reach two more ways.

We found a dispersed legal camp shortly after this way and we got home to spend the night. Tomorrow we will walk at least 25 miles and hope to reach a camp or more.
