Maeja left me alone on the path where I ended yesterday. I was going to walk five miles today, and then Andi would join me for the rest, since he wanted to sleep a little today, and Maeja wanted to take a day zero. Hey, these are your vacation too! But, Earth gently put his alarm early to take me to my path.
The path today began on one track through the forest. I am seeing a theme here: Duluth Miles are barely on the sidewalks and streets. The SHTA has made a concerted effort to make the path in as many green spaces as they could join.
Hey, they warned me, so I didn’t.
The forest is very quiet this morning. I am listening to the sound of any animal, since I have a good opportunity to see something, since I am only walking this morning, without making any noise except my steps. I hear almost anything and I see nothing more than the end of a snake. Oh, well, there is a lot of path for animal sightings. I also see very recent signs of paths and cross four or five new feet bridges.

Thank you for all your hard work, volunteers!
I find my friends in our fixed place, and Andi and I continue. Immediately here, the path changes earth from one track to a rocky fight, sometimes two hands, for Ely’s peak. It is actually quite fun and a good change of rhythm. The blue lights have been painted directly on the great slabs of the rock around here.

The path returns to the earth after a while and we enter the Spirit Mountain recreation area. In winter, this is a ski season, but in the summer they are hiking and cycling paths. The two types of paths constantly intersect here, and bicycle trails actually seem to be an explosion of riding. All levels can travel here, from beginners to experts, and is well marked.

Aw man, I hate when the coach makes us make this path! 🤢
There is also a rate camp here, and we take advantage of its bathing facilities and continue. The path has been weaving a lot today, with a gain and loss of constant elevation. He is starting to wear a bit, and the miles have not been easy. Everything said and made I made almost 3700 feet of elevation gain today! Not bad for a city walk!

Taking a brief sitting in the parking lot of the Spirit Mountain ski area.
There is nothing to do more than to continue stepping, and the path finally begins to feel a little more urban as we approach the I-35. We walk under it, and then immediately under another important road, and enter a neighborhood. However, the path is cut in the forest, for the few remaining miles.

A beautiful waterfall a short distance from the busy interstate.
After an incorrect turn on a bicycle path, we had to go back only one .2 miles more or less. Then we reached the final stretch and returned to my vehicle that Andi and Maeja had previously parked there. A fist and a fast stretch, then we return to the condominium for well -deserved showers, laundry and pizza!
