Premier League: SARR Back for Spurs, but Kolo Muani and Solanke need more time, says Frank

Tottenham Hotspur -midfielder Pape Matar SARR is available after he was omitted from Wednesday’s League Cup match as a precaution, although Forward Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani need more time to recover, manager Thomas Frank said Friday.

Sarr’s Sarr, who scored in the 3-0 victory of Spurs in West Ham United earlier this month, missed the victory of the League Cup at home at Doncaster Rovers with a Dijstam.

«Everyone from midweek is available again. Pape was a precautionary measure, he trained today, so that is positive,» Frank told reporters prior to the Premier League match on Saturday against visiting Bottom Side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Kolo Muani’s ‘dead leg’

The French striker Kolo Muani, who earlier this month on loan from Paris St. Germain, has a «dead leg» after a collision with SARR during training, Frank said.

«It happened in the training. I think Pape came across him, so you have to blame Pape,» he added jokes. «No, it was just an accident. Dead legs can be fast things or they can go through.»

Solanke, who sustained an ankle injury last month, progressed in the right direction, Frank said.

«His ankle injury has been a bit tricky, it is nothing big, we are relatively positive that he will be back soon. It is not perfect, but we are going in the right direction,» the coach said.

«If you’ve been in pain, it’s important to get it right, he wasn’t (training) on the grass today, but he was during the week.»

Bottom wolves still dangerous

Spurs, who are third in 10 points after five league matches, are on points with the second placed Arsenal and five behind champions Liverpool while trying to continue their clear start under Frank, who was appointed in June.

The Dane said that Wolves can cause problems on Saturday, despite losing all their league matches so far.

«We are confronted with a good Wolves side. Everyone is aware that they have not had their best start in the field of points. Their games have been very tight. This is a team the last five times that we have not been able to beat,» Frank said.

«We have to fly outside, be ready, have the fans behind us, they must support us in every second of the game. I am convinced that we will perform.»
