The perfect Premier League start of Liverpool came to a halt on Saturday in Crystal Palace, with the last-gasp winner of the replacement Eddie Nketiah and gave the Eagles a deserved victory over the Sub-Par champion.
Ismaila Sarr broke up close, his third goal in his last three games against the Reds, after Liverpool had not made any corner in the ninth minute.
Palace was unbridled and could have been 4-0 within 25 minutes, with Liverpool debts on a tame effort by Yeremy Pino and keeper Alisson’s excellent rescues from Daniel Munoz and Jean-Philippe Mateta to keep the side in the game.
Liverpool replaces Federico Chiesa’s 87th minute equalizer to give the champion an absolute robbery of a 1-1 draw. But Nketiah shot Alisson at death, where Palace survived a tense VAR review to go to second place as the only remaining undefeated side in the competition.
