Mohun Bagan Super Giant was supposed to withdraw on Tuesday «from the AFC Champions League Two competition of 2025-26 by the continental body after the Top Indian Club could not report in Iran for his match against Isfahan.
Indian Super League (ISL) champion MBSG announced on Saturday that it has withdrawn from the luminaire planned for Tuesday after the six foreign players had refused to travel to Iran after «advice from their respective countries».
“In accordance with Article 5.2 of the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26 Competition Regulations (The ‘Competition Regulations’), the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) confirms that India’s Mohun Bagan Super Giant is supposed to withdraw from the AFC Champions League League two2525/25 Isfahan, Islamic September 30, 2025, «the AFC said in a statement.
The case will now be referred to the relevant AFC committee for the correct decision, added the Continental APEX -Body of the sport.

«Consequently, the previous game played by Mohun Bagan Super Giant is canceled and considered void in accordance with Article 5.6 of the competitive regulations. For avoidance of doubt, no points and goals from the earlier match of the club are taken into account when determining the final group C C,» the classrooms.
Similarly, when Mohun Bagan did not travel to Iran last year to step to Tabriz Tractor SC, referring to the safety of players, in the midst of political tension in the West Asian region, the AFC considered the ISL champion who ‘withdrew’ from the second club competition of the Continent.
Earlier, after a meeting with all players and Indian staff, a club officer said that a collective decision was made not to travel to Iran before the game.
The team members were planned to fly out of the country for Iran on Sunday morning, after the players and the support staff received e-visas.
