Day 75
Home: Dirt Road, Mile 1424.3
END: Dirt Road, Mile 1452.3
Miles walked: 28 miles
I was so warm and cozy in my comforter this morning that I slept a little later than usual. It was cold outside, but warm in my store, making me want to stay even more. Again I took the cozy peanut butter sandwich and the tea breakfast I had enjoyed yesterday, and finally I decided it was time to get out of my cocoon.
The clouds hung casualties in the sky while walking, foreshadowing the weather to arrive later in the day. A few miles, I found a couple of nobles who said they were probably the last on the way. They were probably right. I hadn’t seen a Novo in much.
The miles were easy today while moving up and down on the hills and mountains. The views from the top of the climbs were spectacular. There were so many clear blue lakes in the area that seemed attractive.
Just when I headed from a point of view, I heard what sounded like a chainsaw. Suddenly, I saw a bicycle of land running towards me. Ahhh! I stirred my arms over my head to stop, and fortunately they only did a few meters from me. I let them pass and then I saw that there was another. I’m glad I didn’t have the headphones, otherwise, I could really have been hit. That is why bicycles are not allowed on the PCT.
Some miles later, just when the time for lunch came, the weather began to turn. The dark clouds became lower and felt a few drops of rain. Not wanting to be miserable eating in the rain, I found a place under a tree to wait for things while ate. Soon, the air became super cold and hail began to fall. I put my reliable umbrella and bent down under my tree. Honestly, he would take hail over the rain any day, since it is solid and not liquid.
After lunch and staying with dry success, the sky clarified a little and the sun fought to reach its maximum point between the clouds. It was still a bit cold, but I would take it over the rain. The last miles took me on one crest to another beautiful view of the landscape below. There was a blue climb at the top of a surveillance point, but as was the end of the day and the sky was covered with clouds, I decided to jump it.
I felt colder for the minute, I quickly walked to the place of my store and settled. Despite the cold weather, the sunset in the opposite mountains kept me out for a little more to admire everything. However, once inside, he was kind and cozy and ready to eat a hot meal.
And that is a day in the life of a PCT Sobo hiker!
