Crystal Palace launched its first full company to European football with a 2-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv in Poland on Thursday in the UEFA Conference League.
The brilliant towering header of Colombian wing-back Daniel Munoz in the first half posted Palace in Lublin, where Dynamo is playing his home games in Europe this season due to the war in Ukraine.
Eddie Nketiah took a second just before the hour and stuck in another cross of the excellent Yeremy Pino, while Palace established a new Clubrecordrun of 19 matches.
Borna Sosa, however, quickly took two yellow cards in succession to leave Palace with 10 men for the last 15 minutes.
«I am proud that we can start the conference competition against a very good opponent. I am not thinking of this (unbeaten) run, because it has already happened, so it is important for me what is coming after,» said palace boss Oliver Glasner.
«We prefer no competition. We always want to win the next game, and I have now told the players just after the game,» congratulations on this good start, «» he added.

Palace qualified for Europe after beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final last season, but was relegated from the Europa League to the Conference League after violating the UEFA rules on multi-club ownership.
The only earlier experience of the Premier League club with Continental Competition was one home-and-road draw in the Intertoto Cup in 1998.
Palace is one of the favorites for the title of the Conference League and will organize AEK Larnaca from Cyprus in his next competition in the competition phase on October 23.
The Eagles will also be confronted with the Dutch club AZ Alkmaar, French side Strasbourg, Irish outfit Shelbourne and Kups in Finland.
