Nottingham Forest Manager Ange Postecoglou was not surprised that fans called for him to be fired after the 3-2 Europa League defeat against Midtjylland on Thursday, but the Australian says he was concentrated on obtaining results and improving the team.
Postecoglou has passed a scorching start at the Midlands Club since the replacement of Nuno Espirito Santo last month and became the first permanent forest manager in 100 years who won none of his opening of six games.
The 60-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur manager was confronted with «you will be fired in the morning» of frustrated forest fans after losing the Danish side on the city, and Postecoglou understood their disappointment.
«They can have an opinion about it. I heard their opinion,» Postecoglou told reporters.

«Nothing surprises me in football. It is the climate in which we find ourselves. It seems that it is the way it goes. My responsibility is to ensure that we get a number of victories for this football club and get it. I would prefer it. If people are optimistic in their prospects in their prospects of what I do, I can be the situation.
Forest is 17th in the Premier League table with five points from six games, and the list of October contains a trip to Newcastle United on Sunday, a home game against Chelsea and a away game in Bournemouth.
«I don’t get the mood near the place great, and I understand the attitude of people right now, especially for me, but it’s not an unknown terrain for me. I believe we are on the right track,» Postecoglou said.
