Slot said it was difficult to set up a timetable when the goalkeeper, 33, would return.
«It would surprise me if he were there in the first game after the international break, but from that moment on things can sometimes go a little faster or a little slower. It is difficult to say the number of days and weeks, but for the coming games he will not be part of us or the Brazilian team,» he added.
Slot said that attacker Hugo Ekitike, who also arose an injury in Turkey in the second half, would train on Friday and would be assessed.
Liverpool remains the top of the Premier League despite last week’s 2-1 defeat in Crystal Palace-two points from the second placed arsenal.
