For the time being, Arsenal moved the top of the Premier League when Declan Rice scored against his old Club West Ham United in a 2-0 home victory in a LOP-NIDED London-Deby on Saturday.
Midfielder Rice rammed a rebound in the 38th minute to reward Arsenal’s dominance against a defensive West Ham who could not register a shot on goal.
Bukayo Saka then made the points safe against the penalty spot in the 67th minute to make it a satisfactory 300th game that is in charge of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
It closed a nice week for Arsenal, which took a late comeback win in Newcastle United last weekend before beating Olympiakos in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Arteta’s side has 16 points of the opening of seven games, a more than Liverpool, although the champion could later regain the top position at Chelsea.
West Ham remains second of the bottom with four points.
