Donyell Malen made the most out of a rare Premier League start by dismissing Aston Villa on Sunday to a 2-1 victory over Burnley, with the first goals of the Dutch attacker of the season that lifted the Unai Emery side to 13th in the rankings.
Malen had to wait for his time for opportunities in the Premier League at the start of the campaign, but he had the razor -sharp in Villa Park to open his account for the season in a spectacular way.
He timed his run to perfection to come for the opener at the end of Boubacar Kamara’s pass before the 26-year-old scored another goal from a similar tight corner in the second half to complete his brace.

«It has been a difficult start, but we stay positive and we worked very hard to turn things around and today was a good example,» Malen told Sky Sports.
“It is important to keep working, when you get the chance to be there. We have to go game by game.
«We have a good team, a good team. Last season we were almost in the Champions League, so we have to insist on that.»
Villa dominated the procedure, but was guilty of rejecting different opportunities before the clinical touch made the difference.
The Dutchman closed almost his afternoon with a hat trick, just to see his strike after a neat one-two movement with Ollie Watkins blocked on the line.
«I think Donyell has been great, he is waiting for his chance and when he plays, he adds something to the game. Today he starts and scores two, so happy,» said Villa midfielder Lamare Bogarde.
The victory extended the winning run from Villa in all competitions to four games after it became W in the first six games of the season.
«We solved him a little (grinding) with a technical balance. He was almost to score and he scored, fantastic,» said Emery.
“Here in Villa Park we have to turn it into a fort, we have to compete and we are ready for the international break in a good balance.
«We feel more comfortable than we were. I am really happy how the players responded to our requirements.»
