This morning I woke up around 6:30 am and slowly began to pack. I ended up sending text messages to Sprinter and asking if it was great to continue again at 8 in the morning. And a couple of the other hikers that you stayed at the hotel last night will probably also return with us. I packed all my things and then lay down in bed and made a little editing. Then he tried to eat all the last sweets last night and drink everything.
Sprinter sent me a text message from a photo of all at breakfast in the lobby. So, once I was ready, I went there. I made a hot coffee and sat down with Fizz, said Sprinter. We sat down a little and then we started packing to leave. Fizz was going to stay in the city a little more because he had not yet been refrained. But I really hope that somehow time works and can see some of these hikers at the end of New Mexico when it ends. I think many people plan to make about 20 miles a day and take zeros to enjoy the end of this walk. So, if I go to Oregon as quickly as possible and return, then there is definitely the possibility of attracting some people ending before the Thanksgiving day.
Reaching the top of the first climb of the day.
Then I said goodbye to effervescence; And then said, Sean and I went back to the road. I knew briefly yesterday when I walked to the nearby service station to take something. At first I did not realize that I was a hiker because it appeared to me on the street. And he had said that I had been following my trip and everything like that. It was a super nice guy. But then I realized this morning that I was the older hiker what Sprinter had met and spoke to me. Apparently, this guy has performed most of the national scenic paths and has really dedicated this most recent chapter of his life through hiking. With what I can definitely relate.

These sections where the Colorado trail and CDT overlap have a very good signage of paths.
We all take back to Monarch Pass and then prepare to resume hiking from there. It seems that I will be camping tonight and tomorrow night. Then, the next night, I hope I stay in a city. Two full days from now on, I will enter the creation alternative, I will walk through Creae and I will go to South Fork. I will only have to see how everything develops. I let Sprinter know my approximate plan, but fortunately I imagine I will have some service to keep it updated. Then I started!

Some signs of a land path.
Today’s land looks very good compared to what has been the last week. The day began with a climb that was incredibly gradual and really enjoyed it. And it seemed that for the first time in a time he was going exactly as fast as me. I did it very well, even walking along the path. Although this section of the path has many dirt roads, which always helps maintain its rhythm. I ended up going up to this crest that had open views. It was cold, but I had some layers in which it was pleasant.

Heading through a door and continuing on the path
During the first two hours, I saw some people on mountain bicycles. And I ended up going next to a beautiful shelter of three walls. I stop briefly to take a look and sit down. Then I continued on the path. That shelter would be a gift from the absolute sky during the treacherous climate. And it surprises me a little that there are no more things like that along the paths in Colorado.

A true rarity here in the CDT.
I was on and off the dirt roads for the next few hours. At one point I also went through another hiker to the south too! I was taking a break from the way and we ended up talking briefly. His name was Pitch Perfect and it was absolutely adorable! It was really pleasant to talk to her and filled me with so much emotion to see her in general. It is really great to think that I could stumble with a hiker really at any time at this time.

Looking down in the foliage through a group of rocks.
Not long after seeing it, I crossed a path parking area. There was a deprived of stopping to use. Then, the path continued along the dirt roads for a while after that. Although I would have an elevation gain to do, everything was easier once I left on the dirt roads. It is curious that people comment on me or other hikers walking and those things while they are in the CDT. But I don’t think people realize how much of the CDT is Dirt Road Walk. Of course, walking through Dirt Road is incredibly different from the pavement. But the minds of the road that walks in Colorado and in the CDT in general would probably exploit many people.

The foliage has been exceptional this year.
The day was flying and maintained a really solid rhythm. Then I was uploading a hill when I suddenly noticed something written on Earth. It was my name! I stayed there for a minute in immense confusion. Who do I know who is right in front of me? I think many of the hikers around here are anticipating that I come. Simply based on what he told me when I find hikers. So I wasn’t sure if there was a friend ahead that I knew I was behind.

My name written on Earth.
I walked a little more and then I saw my name written on Earth again! This was quite exciting. Then I decided to verify and see if I had service, and I realized who I was writing on Earth. Sprinter had sent me a message saying that there was a path about 27 miles in my day. He planned to go there to park and camp at night. Then you must have walked on the path from the beginning of the path and have written it on Earth. The moment was absolutely perfect and was just five minutes from the location in which he was. That was good because I didn’t have to anticipate it for too long and get too excited.
When I was a mile away, I could see the truck staked at the beginning of the path. Then slowly but surely, I went there. Sprinter was there prepared for the night and hanging out. I sat a little and had some caffeine. Then he ate some fries and guacamole and spoke with him. I still hoped to go to about 14 more miles for the day, so this was a quite perfect well stop. I really needed caffeine more than anything!

Crossing this open field before storms began.
The funny thing is that I have never been a great person of caffeine. But I suppose that I have not really been the type of person who averaged 37 miles per day for months. Simply based on how that has impacted my schedule and my dream, caffeine has been almost a necessity. I think in many ways the caffeine worsens things. To start, it makes me need more caffeine. So sometimes I feel tired sometimes that I would probably do not normally. He always used to feel that he had very consistent energy as he walked this year. Obviously, it is difficult to compare the first five months of the path with the second five months of the path. But I feel more likely to collide lately.
I stayed for a while, but finally I had to keep moving. He still had between 4 and 5 hours of hiking to go for the day. If I arrived at the place I intended, it might not be there until 9-10 pm. But I really need to do about 40 miles today and tomorrow if I want my day at South Fork to be a bit reasonable. It is always good to enter the city a little early so you can enjoy, eat and make the edition.
I had not really noticed when I was going here at the beginning of the path, but I had just made a fairly large climb. Actually, it turned out to be the last great moment of the day as well. So, when I left Sprinter and his truck, I put my alpha layers under my rain team and continued. The dark clouds had begun to roll and seemed to be assaulting. But I was also going to get dark and cold soon. Sometimes only rain equipment is not enough. If I were climbing, the Alfa and the rain team would be too warm as a combination. I hope that there was not too much elevation gain, and I can find a good balance.
Within the first hour of leaving Springer, he began throwing hail. Fortunately I didn’t do too much wind, so I could cover my umbrella. And I think hail is even better than rain. Because at least bird does not get you particularly wet! I only used my umbrella and kept moving. Honestly, it was a kind of perfect situation.
While walking, I listened to music, singing out loud and speaking with myself. The classic combination that I basically do every day. And I swear for God, I think I have a special sense integrated into me where I can perceive the presence of other hikers. I had not really seen anyone besides the girl today. But, suddenly, I decided to stop walking for a second and verify something on my phone. While I was standing there, I was singing and talking to myself. Then, suddenly, I heard a voice cross the darkness.
The guy said something like «You two are walking until late at night!» And I don’t know what was more shameful. The fact that I had stopped in someone’s store and was being super noisy and annoying. Or the fact that they thought I was more than one person because I was talking to myself. I apologized and said it was not a big problem and that they were not sleeping. But I don’t know how I always seem to do that. There could be a hiker in the forest, and stopped and stopped right next to the store without even realizing.

The sun began to wear, but it still had a long way to go.
I left there quite fast after that. And from there, I ended up walking for another half an hour. I wanted at least hitting 35 miles for the day. But I really knew that I really should do 40. Otherwise, it will only leave me with many more miles for doing tomorrow the next day. But I felt tired and was ready to do. So I did something that rarely tried to do, I chose my immediate comfort about the choice that is more strategic for my future. In general, I am quite good to silence my voice in my head and reject immediate satisfaction in exchange for configuring myself in the future.

An incredible sunset tonight.
He had reached the top of a hill, which was flattened and had some trees. The place was probably not going to be the warmest, but it had some wind protection. While I was preparing, I realized that the temperature was about to fall and that it was going to be quite cold. It would probably be one of those mornings with frosts throughout my store. But I really had service there and I definitely liked the idea of being able to do things. That way, it’s a less worrying thing tomorrow.
So, once I was located in my store and ate something, I lay on my phone for a while doing a job. I managed to publish a couple of things or ready to publish for tomorrow. Then I finally tried to turn around and go to bed. I ended up staying too late too late! And I would really like to be awake as soon as possible.
