India U-23 beats Indonesia 2-1 in international friendly; India U-17 registers 1-0 win against China


India Under-23 recorded a 2-1 win against Indonesia in their international friendly at the Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium in Jakarta on Friday.

Suhail Ahmad Bhat bagged a brace and found the net in the fifth and 26th minutes respectively to guide the Blue Colts to victory. Dony Tri Pamungkas pulled a goal back for the hosts in the 41st minute, but India held on to their slim one-goal lead to take the win.

On Monday, October 13, the country will play another friendly match against Indonesia at the same location.

At the National Football Training Center in Xianghe, India Under-17 defeated China 1-0 thanks to a strike from Wangkheirakpam Gunleiba in the 75th minute.
