Manipur, Bengal will face off in the final of the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy

The 30th National Women’s Football Championship for Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2025-2026 is set to witness an exciting finale as Manipur and Bengal booked their places in the final after victories in their respective semi-finals at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ground in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh on Monday.

Manipur cruised past Tamil Nadu with a resounding 4-0 win, while Bengal cruised past Uttar Pradesh 2-1 despite being reduced to ten players for more than 25 minutes.

The final showdown will take place at the same location on Wednesday.

NorthEast United FC signs a landmark MoU with the Government of Meghalaya

NorthEast United FC has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Meghalaya to accelerate football development in the region and position Shillong as the Football Capital of India.

The partnership, effective from 2025 to 2028, brings together NorthEast United FC, Ministry of Tourism, Government of Meghalaya, and Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya in a joint effort to promote football culture, encourage youth participation and strengthen Meghalaya’s position as one of India’s top tourism destinations.

Under the MoU, the parties will collaborate on a range of initiatives, including football camps, coach training programmes, fan parks and youth-focused awareness campaigns aimed at nurturing grassroots talent and increasing fan engagement.
