During the October international window, several countries confirmed their places at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico next year.
So far, 28 teams have qualified for the expanded 48-team tournament. The latest participants include Cape Verde, which has qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in its history, Qatar, which hosted the previous edition, and England, which became the first European country to book its place.
