On today’s episode of Backpacker Radio presented by The Trek, we’re joined by Kenneth Pararo, known on the trail as Moron. This is a podcast that we have wanted to make a reality for several years and let me tell you, it does not disappoint. Moron is a hiker, a long-distance cyclist, a philosopher, a hopeless romantic, a futurist, and most importantly, a truly solid man.
We learn why he’s totally into AI, as evidenced by his cross-country hike in his Meta AI glasses, why he quit his corporate tech job to pursue adventures and experiences on a more permanent basis, how he completed one AT hike and abandoned another a couple hundred miles from the finish line, turning it into a long road hike to the Canadian border, only to turn around for a bit of walking. more down the road and eventually a long bike ride, and how he essentially plans his adventures one day at a time, letting fate largely guide his next move.
We end the show with tips for having safe, exciting sex in a tent, a contentious debate about exclusive use of gas station bathrooms for a year for a million dollars, and the triple crown of people we just don’t understand.
