100-104 days: less than 700 remaining miles!

Some weekend hikers arrived at the camp around 11 pm, shining their incredibly bright headlights, looking for a good place. They were quite noisy and their lights continued to shine in our direction. Although we have a store barrier, we can listen and see everything! Fortunately, we both always wear ear plugs and could protect our light screen eyes.

We could have a good time for the final stage of the triple crown of Va. We pass through some beautiful pastures and headed through the hill.

There was a little technical struggle to lift Dragon’s tooth; At least he felt with full water transport.

Shortly after, we arrive at the 700 mile brand! Things move very fast.

The next day, we arrive at the East Continental Division and take care of some business without zero while we had telephone service.

We go through some shelves and sunny outcrops. The path was covered with Briers in many places now that we have left the popular triple crown area.

100-104 days: less than 700 remaining miles!

Then, we went through a Keffer oak, perhaps the oldest oak of the entire path.

The next day, it was quite long with great water transport. Lately we have had little rain, and water sources are starting to dry.

We cross the intersection of the Allegheny path of 311 miles long in West Virginia. One day, we plan to walk!

I felt so strong and well all day. Towards the end of our long thrust, Nick was ready to call him one day for the last water source before Pearisburg tomorrow. I could convince him to continue for another 1.5 miles, and I am very happy to have done so. We arrive at the rice shelter just above Pearisburg in time for sunset. The shelter is located in an open field overlooking the city. It’s absolutely incredible, and we had the place for ourselves! We decided to stay in the shelter because our tent will be soaked in the grass in the morning.

We get up the next morning and enjoy an impressive dawn. The clouds hung up on the city, and looked like the ocean with mountain islands appearing. These are moments that you would like that everyone who loves can be there to share with you. I know that I certainly felt it.

Our plan for the day was to walk 18 miles to the legendary Hostel of Woods Hole for refueling and cleaning. We did it right after 4 pm and we were treated with the most charming experience that I don’t think is overcome by any other establishment.

Everything about this place is very well thought out. The love and care that you have and continues to enter this place is evident from the moment you reach the property. Nick and I agreed that this place reminds us of the work of the camp that we used to have in many ways. Although they have a long way to go to the intentionality of Woods Hole.

We stayed in a private room, and it was perfect. We take extra showers and snuggle in our cozy loan clothes before seeing an incredible replenishment closet so that it exceeds us the next few days.

The dinner was homemade pizza, tomato soup, bread, garden salad and endless endless. It was perfect to fill our hungry hungry.

They have the smallest and smaller cat called Moon. Certainly it was the highlight of our time there.

The next morning, we drink some of your roast coffee home and talk to other people on the porch. Breakfast was a little smaller than usual because they had a wedding later that day. We had more bread, eggs and fruits, and gave the place. We carry some cheese bars and cookies of cheese cheddar amish. Everything was handmade, delicious and perfectly portions for hikers.

We reluctantly said goodbye and we returned to the road.

The walk was easy, and we even stopped at a service station to drink some drinks and snacks. We met two motorcyclists and ex through hikers. We chat for a while before resuming our respective missions.

We have to walk through some really impressive Rododendro tunnels that brought a new great meaning to the term green tunnel we listen to so much.

At the end of the day, we are exactly 600 miles. This walk is escaping like a handful of sand. We are constantly talking about the future and life out of the way, with a growing emotion! It will be very sad to leave this path of ours, but we have some exciting plans for the future!
