Drakesbad Morning
I told Craig about the excrement of mice in the beds and also that I thought they were entering the bathroom. He said I would have a maintenance look and that I would adjust my rates. We never argue how much.
Annex 1: When I finally got my credit card bill, there was no Drakesbad position, so they seem to choose not to charge me.
Annex 2: I am behind publishing blog tickets. So I can add that at this point, I spent the incubation period for Hantaviru safelys Without showing any symptoms.
I had a good breakfast sitting on a table with a big older family, couples that are older than me. One of the men had worked in Drakesbad in 1961. They seemed discouraged by the service during this «soft opening.» We all agree that they simply did not have enough personnel to handle things, although each person seemed very friendly, competent and helpful.
Lake summit walk
I talked to a couple at the Warner Valley camp. Although recreation.gov said it was full, they only drove and found a place. They also said there were a couple of other empty sites.
My lake walk Summit was fine. There are no too extreme climbs. The only real challenge was to cross King’s Creek. There were bridges for almost all the little ones cross the stream, but in the only place where one was really necessary, King’s Creek, there were none. There were a couple of records in the stream a few hundred feet upstream that I could use.
As of yesterday, I began to deal with senderos as Fartlek intervals. I would push myself for 40 steps and then navigate by 80. It seems a decent way of getting some strength training for later. It also keeps the general rhythm a little faster, since the fast rhythm is still a bit for the time I am sailing.
Meet friends
Some hiking friends made the 5 -hour trip to Lassen to meet with me for a couple of nights. Our agreed meeting time was between 1:00 and 2:00. I arrived there around 12:40 and ate my lunch. My friends, Caridad, Lynda and Maya, arrived around 1:40 and drove to the camp.
We spent much of the afternoon eating and talking around the picnic table. He is really friendly to take the time to visit.
I am looking forward to the tourist walks of the couple we have planned tomorrow.
