50K Ultra to 5K Fun Run

LUCKY ELF OF THE CITY OF LINCOLN 5k

Hulk powers up a 50K ultra race and then two weeks later switches gears and runs a 5K race. Life always changes day to day, week to week, month to month and we must adapt. On Friday night, just a few days after St. Patrick’s Day, it was time for a road trip to Lincoln City, Oregon. Some bourbon tastings, March Madness basketball and a little poker talk were in the cards Friday night before Lincoln City Parks and Recreation’s Lucky Leprechaun 5K. I decided to walk three miles along the beach to the race as a warm-up. Lihat juga rfce. The course was a round trip on the beach. It was self-timed and I finished in a time of 37:34 (12:06 mile pace) and RUN the entire race. I’ll take it! In recent years I have been battling arthritis in my right knee and normally avoid running or jogging. I was proud that I was able to run the entire race without stopping. Just an hour into the race, the Chinook Winds poker series was coincidentally beginning with Event #1, a $300 buy-in ($100,000 guaranteed) Texas No Limit Hold’em tournament. There were 713 total entries and a prize pool of approximately $181,000. Crazy! Only 12.5% of the best participants (90) cashed and I was just short of the prize, approximately in 117th place, after spending a very full day. On Tuesday I will play in the Seniors (over 50) No Limit Hold’em tournament and tango with the gray hair.

CONCLUSION

I can live in the degenerated underground, have adventures as a hiker, but also be a bougie. I love my LuLulemon pants, my clean-shaven face, and driving my Audi E-Tron A6. But the CDT is calling and on April 28 Hulk will embark on the start of the Continental Divide Trail. A few days before setting off on the road I will visit my two daughters, ages 22 and 20, who are going to university in California. I’ll also be playing a mixed doubles tennis tournament with my youngest son, which is always fun. I feel good about my stamina and lollygagging skills. I enjoy a full 30+ mile day and also enjoy jogging and a 5K fun run. Keep going. Keep walking. Keep playing. LIVI N.
