On today’s episode of Backpacker Radio presented by The Trek presented by Topo Athletic, we’re talking about “shorter” hikes. We’re joined again by our guy, Michael Grizzly Ivey, to give you an overview of eight top hikes in the US that you can do in four weeks or less. We cover the Long Trail, Teton Crest Trail, Superior HIking Trail, Timberline Trail, Tahoe Rim Trail, Foothills Trail, and Uinta Highline, giving you trail overviews, relative difficulty, resupply strategy, best time to hike, which direction, travel logistics, permit requirements, resupply strategy, featured wildlife, water availability, and our 30-second overview speech for each trail. Just like my waistline, your wish list is about to expand.

We finished the show with tips for great service at any restaurant (from a restaurant’s general manager), the triple crown of birds, and proved that we’ll read almost anything into a 5-star review.
